FAQ

Q: HOW DOES I-LIPO WORK?

A: During a I-Lipo treatment a low level laser is used to stimulate the body’s natural process for breaking down and releasing stored content in the fat cells.

Q: HOW IS I-LIPO DIFFERENT FROM VELASMOOTH AND OTHER PRODUCTS?

A: Other products are for cellulite reduction and skin tightening and do not affect fat cells. I-Lipo breaks down the fat cells directly and is truly a form of liposuction unlike other products on the market.

Q: HOW MANY TREATMENTS OF I-LIPO WILL I NEED?

A:  A minimum of 8-12 treatments are recommended.  However your number of treatments is determined at your consultation and is based on your requirements and goals. We suggest two I-lipo treatments a week over four weeks to complete a full course of I-lipo treatments.

Q: HOW LONG IS EACH I-LIPO TREATMENT?

A: I-Lipo laser treatment takes just 20 minutes. The length of time for your post-treatment exercise to "burn off" the free fatty acids is determined at your consultation and is based on your requirements and goals from your I-lipo results.

Q: WHY DO I HAVE TO WORKOUT AFTER I-LIPO TREATMENTS?

A: Once the fat cells are broken down after i-lipo treatments, the contents of the fat cells need a way to exit the body. If they do not exit the body within a few hours, they get reabsorbed by other fat cells. A brief workout immediately after a I-lipo treatment ensures that the fat is excreted via the lymphatic system.

Q: DO I HAVE TO WORKOUT AFTER I-LIPO TREATMENTS?

A: Working out after I-lipo treatments gives the body a way to metabolize and excrete the fat that is broken down. If you don’t do a workout after your I-lipo session, you run the risk of the released fat being absorbed by other cells since your lymphatic system is not actively draining it.

Q: ARE I-LIPO TREATMENT COMFORTABLE?

A: Most people don’t feel anything during their I-lipo treatment and find it comfortable and relaxing. The typical sensation felt is slight warmth where the treatment pads are in contact with your skin.

Q: IS I-LIPO SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE?

A: I-Lipo can be used on both men and women and can treat most areas of the body except the female breast. As with any treatment, people with certain medical conditions should not have I-Lipo.  Your I-Lipo practitioner will go through a full medical questionnaire and consultation prior to treatment to confirm suitability. I-Lipo is not recommended for patients that are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a history of malignancy.

Q: IS I-LIPO SAFE?

A: Yes. Independent clinical studies have shown I-Lipo to be completely safe with no side effects. I-lipo lasers simply trigger a natural reaction of fat cell release. The process does not cause any damage and cells remain intact, just smaller, giving immediate results. I-lipo is FDA approved.

Q: HOW LONG WILL MY I-LIPO RESULTS LAST?

A: I-lipo results are long-term, provided your calorie intake and eating plan is stable, and you engage in regular exercise. Further I-lipo treatments can be performed to correct diet indulgence or target another area of the body.

Q: WHEN WILL I SEE MY I-LIPO RESULTS?

A: Often I-lipo results can be seen immediately and improve with every treatment.  Some people notice the majority of the circumference reduction in the first one to two sessions with a more gradual decrease as they go on, some are more gradual throughout treatment time, and some notice the most at the end of the treatments. There is no guarantee how a persons body will react to treatments.

Q: HOW LONG IS THE RECOVERY TIME FROM I-LIPO?

A: There is no recovery period and no down time after I-lipo sessions.

Q: WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED WITH I-LIPO?

A: The abdomen, saddle bags, thighs, upper back area, neck, arms, and calves are common areas to be treated although any area of the body can all be safely treated with i-lipo except the breast.

Q: CAN I TREAT MORE THAN ONE AREA AT A TIME WITH I-LIPO?

A: It is not recommended to treat more than one area at a time with I-lipo due to the difficulty to excrete the fat from multiple areas and overall treatment being less effective. We recommend completing one area before starting on another I-lipo treatment location for optimal results.

Q: HOW MUCH DOES I-LIPO COST?

A: I-lipo cost is dependent on the number of treatments you will require. A consultation can be scheduled to discuss which areas should be treated and pricing for treatments. I-Lipo treatments are sold in packages.

Q: WHAT ARE I-LIPO PACKAGES?

A: Each area requires 8-10 i-lipo treatments. Each i-lipo session lasts approximately 20 minutes from start to finish. Typically 2-3 i-lipo treatments are done in 1 week resulting in roughly a 3-4 week commitment.

Q: HOW DO I START I-LIPO?

A: Simply schedule your consultation and then we can start!

Q: WHAT ARE THE BENEIFTS OF HAVING ILIPO?

A: One benefit of I-lipo is body contouring. the lasers trigger a chemical signal in the fat cells that breaks down stored triglycerides into free fatty acids and glycerol. Your body will then flush them out or burn them off in post treatment exercise. I-lipo is perfect for people with good diet and exercise habits, wishing to treat a problem area.

Q: AM I A CANDIDATE FOR I-LIPO WITH HYPOTHYROIDISM?

A:  First, we suggest you get your thyroid condition straightened out.  Then once that is properly regulated if things bother you, and you get medical clearance I do not see why you can not have liposuction if you are a good candidate.

Q: CAN DIABETICS HAVE I-LIPO?

A: As long as your diabetes is stable - Hemoglobin A1C below 6, and your internist approves

Q: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN I-LIPO & ULTRASOUND CAVITATION?

A:  I-Lipo non-invasive body shaping and cellulite reduction technology offering safe and pain free body contouring in as little as 20 minutes, without surgery and without downtime. The FDA has allowed a claim for circumferential abdominal reduction of up to 10%. An extremely low level, external laser beam is placed on the skin the areas are treated for up to twenty minutes. However, multiple treatments need to be given.  External ultrasound cavitation focuses beams of high energy ultrasound and it is adsorbed within the fatty tissues.   Again, multiple treatments are needed and the changes are small. There is no pain associated with theses treatments.

Q: I-LIPO VS COOL SCULPTING

A: I-LIPO & Cool Sculpting are both noninvasive treatments.  Although, I-lipo results are immediate, while Cool Sculpting results take several weeks (and up to two months) to be noticeable
